Vesnivka choir has demonstrated excellence in musical performance, and it continues to perform challenging and interesting programs. To date, Vesnivka has won eight Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Choral Competition awards in this prestigious biannual competition.
In 2000, Vesnivka choir travelled to Linz, Austria, where it competed in the 1st Choir Olympics and won a Silver Medal in the “Folklore a cappella” category.
In 1993, Vesnivka attended its first international music festival, the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod choral competition in Wales and won first place in the “Folk” category, competing against 22 world-class choirs. Vesnivka also performed at the grand finale and was awarded the esteemed W.S. Gwynn Williams International Trophy for outstanding performance.
