Mission Statement
Vesnivka Choir exists to promote Ukrainian liturgical and choral tradition and to provide an opportunity for individuals to enjoy a challenging and rewarding musical experience through a community-based choir. Vesnivka members demonstrate a professional attitude and commitment to success to benefit the community.
Goals and Objectives
To promote Ukrainian liturgical and choral tradition:
- Through teaching of Ukrainian liturgical, folk and classical music
- Through participation in Ukrainian cultural events
- Through participation in local, national and international music festivals
- Singing mass at least twice a year
- Participation in the CBC Choral Competition every 2 years
- Singing at weddings and funeral services, when required
To enjoy a challenging and rewarding musical experience:
- Through opportunities for individual voice training, training by vocal sections and working in small groups
- Participation in choral competitions and music festivals
Vesnivka members demonstrate a professional attitude and commitment to success to benefit the community:
- Through contribution of time and money in support of the needy and seniors of the community
- Through choir performances in senior citizen homes and care centres
- Through organization of concert tours for choirs from other countries to perform for the Canadian public
