OutreachVesnivka is involved in various community programs. They frequently sing at the Ukrainian-Canadian Care Centre and other nursing centres in the Toronto area. Vesnivka was requested by organizers to participate in the openings of the new Metro Hall, Ontario Place, Hazelton Lanes and the New Toronto City Hall. The choir performed in the 2002 International Choral Festival "Joy of Singing" with a free performance at Water Park, down at Toronto's Harbourfront. Vesnivka has also performed at the Art Gallery of Ontario. Vesnivka has performed at Ontario Place (Ukrainian Day) and at the Canadian National Exhibition. Vesnivka performed at the June 1998 celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Toronto and Eastern Canada Eparchy, attended by the Ukrainian Catholic Bishop I. Borecky as well as various government officials. Vesnivka has made a commitment to perform for young audiences and to promote musical experiences for children. Annually Vesnivka participates in a concert with hundreds of school children (Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto Convention Centre as well as Bishop Marocco High School). Vesnivka has put on a children's operetta ("Koza Dereza") focused exclusively for elementary and pre-school children. The Choir has organized children's music-fests which included sing-along, music games and story telling. Vesnivka gladly shares their music notes, from their library, with numerous schools to assist them with their choral programs. Many member of the Choir attend Children's camps each summer where they organize the music program for the campers. This truly develops an audience for the future and helps promote Vesnivka within the community. As a result of its choral success, Vesnivka, has developed a strong Ukrainian Canadian presence and is highly rated within not only the Ukrainian cultural community but also within the multicultural mosaic of Canada. The choir provides a unique Ukrainian cultural experience to its members and to the general community, young and old. It shares its love of music and its unique cultural sounds by interacting with other choirs (eg. Guest performers at concerts with Elmer Iseler Singers and Camarata Singers), with Canadian choral conductors (eg. Elmer Iseler, Wayne Riddell, Gerald Fagan), orchestra directors (eg. Bramwell Tovey, Eric Robertson) and choral clinicians to help strengthen the cultural wealth of Canada. It promotes this cultural wealth by performing throughout Canada and in other countries.
